Recommendations will be sorted by major based on comprehensive performance and selected on a merit-based basis. In accordance with the notice requirements of the "Henan Agricultural University's Selection Methods for Recommending Outstanding Fresh Undergraduates to Study for Master's Degrees Without Examination (Revised)" (Agricultural University Education [2024] No. 6), the comprehensive score = academic score (A) × 95% + comprehensive quality score (B) × 5%, calculated as a percentage. Among them, the academic score (A) is the comprehensive score of the courses taken in the 1-3 academic years. The academic score is calculated until the end of the sixth semester, that is: A = average grade point × 10 + 50; the average grade point is based on the calculation result of the academic management system. The comprehensive quality score (B) is in line with the value orientation of students' all-round development, including joining the army and serving in the army, participating in volunteer services, internships in international organizations, scientific research achievements, and winning competitions. The score is the sum of the five content scores.
The specific scoring conditions and score calculation method for comprehensive quality score (B) are as follows:
(1) Students who join the army and serve in the army will receive 10 points for overall quality.
(2) To participate in volunteer service projects, refer to the accumulated volunteer service hours recognized by the China Volunteer Service Network established by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and graded certification scores. One point is awarded for every 100 hours of volunteer service, up to a maximum of 10 points.
(3) Those who participate in the international organization internship program established and implemented by the China Scholarship Council must provide valid certification materials for internship at the international organization and obtain 10 points for overall quality.
(4) Scientific research achievement projects are limited to academic-related scientific research papers published by independent authors or first authors in core journals and above (the property rights belong to Henan Agricultural University). Among them, those published in the top journals in the first area among SCI/SSCI journals are worth 30 points; other journals in the first area are worth 25 points; journals in the second area are worth 20 points; journals in the third area are worth 15 points; journals in the fourth area/EI included journals are worth 10 points; those published in the core journals of Peking University Chinese are worth 5 points.
(5) Award-winning projects in the competition are limited to participating as main members (top 3), academically related China International College Student Innovation Competition (formerly China "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition), "Challenge Cup" National College Student Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition (including "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition), "Creating Youth" China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and other three domestic authoritative competitions, and winning the national third prize or bronze medal or above for recognition bonus points: the 1st/2nd/3rd place winners of the first level, The scores are 40 points, 35 points, and 30 points in order; the first/second/third place in the second level, the scores are 30 points, 25 points, and 20 points; the first/second/third place in the third level, the scores are 20 points, 15 points, and 10 points; the first/2/3rd place in the fourth level, the scores are 15 points, 10 points, and 5 points.
Special instructions: (1) The comprehensive quality score is only based on the student's undergraduate degree; (2) When a student has multiple bonus points in a certain aspect such as military service, volunteer service, internship in an international organization, scientific research achievements, or competition awards, in principle, only the highest score will be taken, and no cumulative calculation will be made. Other certification materials can be used as a reference. (3) Scientific research results, competition awards, etc. obtained by the student in collaboration with his immediate family members or those with significantly higher academic qualifications, professional titles, and positions than the student himself are only for reference and will not be included in the comprehensive quality evaluation score calculation system for the student’s recommendation and selection (no points will be counted). Priority can be given under the same conditions.
