During the Spring Festival this year, people in Guangdong have strong demand for travel, with abundant large-scale events and folk activities, and the return passenger flow is superfluous. The public security organs of the province conducted preliminary research and judgment and made strict arrangements around the goal of "safety and no accidents". In view of the 63 fireworks display activities during the Spring Festival, the public security organs guarded the entire process and implemented the "one vehicle, one plan" entire process supervision for the transportation of fireworks and firecrackers.
At 586 large-scale mass activities, folk activities and 241 4A-level or above key scenic spots in the province, the public security organs set up on-site headquarters to strictly implement security measures to ensure that "the flow of people does not disperse and the police force does not withdraw". At the same time, they cracked down on illegal solicitation, ticket scalping and other illegal activities to protect the safety promise of "please come to Guangdong to celebrate the New Year".
In terms of traffic security, the public security and traffic control departments have strengthened key inspections and control based on complex travel structures and traffic flow characteristics. On the Xuguang Expressway, which was prone to congestion in the past, the innovative "tidal lane + tidal service area" initiative was launched. While the traffic volume on the road section increased by 8.9% year-on-year, the number of slowdowns dropped significantly by 94.7% year-on-year, and the results were remarkable.
In addition, facing the first Spring Festival after Hainan closed the border, the Guangdong and Qiongzhou police worked together to build a three-dimensional prevention and control circle of "far-end diversion, mid-end control, and near-end diversion" around the Qiongzhou Strait, which effectively improved the turnover efficiency of people and vehicles and ensured the safe and smooth passage of passengers.
During the Spring Festival, Guangdong's accommodation reception, port customs clearance, highway traffic volume and the number of large-scale events all increased significantly year-on-year. The province's public security police stayed at their posts and built a Spring Festival security defense line with high standards. (over)
