During The Spring Festival Of 2026, Beijing’s Business Districts Will See Booming Sales, Strong New Year Customs, And Many New Highlights In The Consumption Scene

China News Service, Beijing, February 23 (Reporter Lu Shaowei and Chen Hang) Data released by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce on the 23rd showed that during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the department stores, supermarkets, professional stores, catering and e-commerce businesses that the bureau focused on monitoring achieved sales of 8.45 billion yuan. According to mobile phone signaling and third-party big data, holiday passenger traffic in 60 key business districts in Beijing reached 51.094 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.

During this holiday season, Beijing’s business district has seen a surge in its annual consumption vitality. The 2026 Haidian New Year Science and Technology Temple Fair promotes the deep integration of technology experience and consumption scenarios. The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone launched Beijing’s first self-driving car shopping linkage promotion.

During the Spring Festival holiday, Beijing’s inbound tourism contributed to a new increase in consumption. According to third-party big data calculations, this holiday season, the "purchase" consumption of inbound tourists in Beijing increased by 73.2% year-on-year. The 2026 Dadu New Year Temple Fair takes "sense of science and technology, international style, and Chinese flavor" as its core, presenting a colorful festive cultural feast.
