Henan Agricultural University was founded in 1902 and has 10 disciplines including agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, law, liberal arts, medicine, education and arts. The school currently has 1 national key discipline as a first-level discipline, 2 "double first-class" created disciplines in Henan Province, 4 characteristic backbone discipline groups in Henan Province, 1 special and urgently needed characteristic backbone discipline (group) in Henan Province, 17 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, and 7 ESI global top 1% disciplines. The school has 9 postdoctoral research stations, 10 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 2 doctoral professional degree authorization categories, 19 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 20 professional master's degree authorization categories. The school has built 9 national-level scientific research platforms and international joint research centers, including the National Key Laboratory of Efficient Double-cropping of Wheat and Corn, the National Wheat Engineering Technology Research Center, the "2011" Henan Grain Crop Collaborative Innovation Center, the Animal Biosafety Level 3 (P3) Laboratory, and the International Joint Research Center for Animal Immunology. 1. Eligibility
(1) The identity documents held by candidates must meet the following conditions:
1. Candidates from Hong Kong and Macao must hold ① Hong Kong or Macao permanent resident identity card and ② "Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents" or "Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents".
2. Candidates from Taiwan must hold ① a valid identity certificate for residing in Taiwan and ② "Taiwan Resident Mainland Travel Permit" or "Taiwan Resident Residence Permit".
(2) Candidates’ academic level must meet the following conditions:
1. Graduate students applying to study for a master's degree (hereinafter referred to as master's students) must have a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from the mainland (mainland of the motherland).
2. Graduate students applying for doctoral studies (hereinafter referred to as doctoral students) must have a degree equivalent to a master's degree from the Mainland (mainland of the motherland).
(3) Love the motherland, have good moral character, and be in good health.
(4) Have written recommendations from two scholars with associate professor or above or equivalent titles related to the major you are applying for.
2. Learning methods and application categories
Our school will only recruit full-time graduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in 2026; master's students will recruit academic degree graduate students, and doctoral students will recruit academic and professional degree graduate students.
3. Candidate Registration
(1) From January 4 to January 11, candidates taking the unified examination can register online through the "Enrollment Information Network for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" and independently choose the registration point and specific examination method.
(2) From January 4 to January 9, registration sites and admissions units will conduct online consultations at the same time.
(3) Before January 14th, the application center will download the candidate registration database of this application center through the "Enrollment Information Network for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan", review the candidate's application qualifications, and prepare for online confirmation.
(4) Candidates should carefully understand and strictly follow the application conditions and relevant requirements to choose to fill in the application, accurately fill in personal online registration information and provide authentic materials. If a candidate cannot be confirmed, tested or admitted online due to failure to meet the application conditions and related requirements, filling in incorrect information in the online application, or filling in false information, the consequences shall be borne by the candidate himself.

1. Online confirmation time: Before January 21, all candidates should confirm their registration information online according to the requirements of the registration site and pay the registration fee.
2. When confirming, candidates should submit their online registration number, valid ID, bachelor's degree certificate or master's degree certificate as required (fresh graduates can submit it before admission, but must submit the original proof of enrollment), which will be verified by the registration center staff.
3. Candidates should carefully check and confirm their online registration information and electronic photos. Registration information will not be modified after the candidate confirms it.
The specific confirmation methods, requirements and confirmation time will be confirmed and announced by each registration center, and no re-application will be made after the deadline.

5. Master’s degree enrollment
In 2026, Henan Agricultural University will adopt a preliminary test plus re-examination method for the admission of master's degree students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. For details of the admissions majors, please refer to the "Henan Agricultural University 2026 Master's Degree Admissions Catalog for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" (see Attachment 1). After the preliminary examination results are announced, our school will determine the basic test score requirements for candidates to enter the re-examination based on the actual number of applicants, and publish them on the website of our graduate school before the re-examination. The school will select the best candidates for admission based on their preliminary examination and re-examination scores.
(1) Print the admission ticket
From April 1st to April 11th, candidates can log in to the "Enrollment Information Network for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" to print the "Admission Ticket". Candidates can take the preliminary examination and re-examination with the downloaded and printed "Admission Ticket" and their valid personal identity documents.
(2) Preliminary test
The preliminary unified examination time is from 8:45 to 12:00 am on April 11. The exam time is based on Beijing time. Among them, the test start time is 8:45, 8:45-9:00 is the time for candidates to read the test room rules, test precautions, etc. and prepare for answers. Candidates can start answering questions from 9:00, and 9:00-12:00 is the official time for candidates to answer questions.
(3) Re-examination
The candidates will be notified of the re-examination time and requirements by the applying college. During the re-examination, the college should pay attention to the examination of the candidates' ideological and moral character. The professional re-examination mainly tests the candidates' comprehensive knowledge mastery and application ability. For specific re-examination methods and requirements, please refer to the notice of each hospital.
6. Doctoral student recruitment
The selection and admission method for doctoral students in our school is the application assessment system (referred to as the application assessment system for doctoral students). For details on the enrollment majors, please refer to the "Henan Agricultural University 2026 Professional Catalog for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Doctoral Students Enrollment" (see Appendix 2). The "application assessment" includes two stages: preliminary review of professional qualifications and review of comprehensive professional knowledge. The school will select the best students for admission based on the final assessment results.
(1) Preliminary review of professional qualifications
Applicants should summarize the following materials as scanned PDF files or photos into a compressed package (named after the major applied for + name), and send it to hnndyzb@henau.edu.cn before April 20, 2026.
1. Student ID card, proof of enrollment (fresh graduates with master's degree) or scanned copy of master's degree certificate;
2. Master's degree transcript stamped with the official seal of the graduate student performance management department or archives management department;
3. Master's degree thesis (fresh master's graduates shall submit thesis abstract and table of contents);
4. Personal training plan during the doctoral studies (no less than 3,000 words);
5. Publicly published academic papers, patents obtained and other supporting materials of original research results;
6. Passed National English Band 4 or 6 (425 points and above) or English score within the last five years (December 2019 and later): TOEFL (72 points and above) or IELTS Category A (5.5 points and above);
7. Two associate professors (or equivalent to associate professors) or above experts who are related to the subject you are applying for should fill in recommendation letters. You can download the template from the "Download Center-Enrollment Management" column of the Henan Agricultural University Graduate School website.
(2) Review of comprehensive professional knowledge
After the list of candidates who have passed the preliminary review is published online at the college, the college will notify the candidates of the review time and review requirements. Experts from the admissions department will conduct a comprehensive examination of the applicant's professional abilities. For specific review methods and requirements, please refer to the notice of each hospital.
7. Academic system and years of study
The basic academic duration for master's degree students is 3 years, and the basic academic duration for doctoral students is 4 years. The maximum study period for master's degree students is 5 years, and the maximum study period for doctoral students is 8 years.
8. Admission and registration
The School of Admissions will determine the proposed admission list based on the assessment results, and submit it to the school's graduate admissions leadership group for approval and publicize it for ten days. The proposed admission list will be published on the Graduate School website around mid-June 2026.
New students must register for admission in accordance with the time specified in the Admission Notice. If they are unable to register on time for special reasons, they must apply for leave in writing to the school; if they fail to apply for leave or the leave is overdue, they will be deemed to have given up their admission qualifications.
After registration, new students must participate in a physical examination organized by our school hospital. The physical examination standards and fees are in accordance with relevant national regulations.
9. Tuition and Scholarship Policy
(1) Tuition fees: RMB 8,000/academic year for master’s students and RMB 10,000/academic year for doctoral students. Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are subject to the same fee standards as similar students from the mainland (the motherland).
(2) Under the same accommodation conditions as students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and students from mainland China, the accommodation fees will be the same. Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan studying in the mainland (the motherland) are subject to the same medical security policies as students from the mainland (the motherland).
(3) Our school accepts applications for relevant scholarships from postgraduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in accordance with the provisions of the "Notice of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education on Issuing the "Administrative Measures for Scholarships for Hong Kong, Macao and Overseas Chinese Students" (Caike Education [2017] No. 139) and the "Notice of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education on the Issuance of the "Administrative Measures for Scholarships for Taiwan Students" (Caike Education [2017] No. 140).
(4) Graduate students are responsible for other expenses during their studies.
10. Degree Awarding
Those who complete the courses specified in the training plan, pass the thesis defense, and meet the "Degree Law of the People's Republic of China" and our school's degree awarding conditions will receive the corresponding degree certificate and graduation certificate.
