The starting point of Jilin University of Finance and Economics can be traced back to the bank cadre training class held by the Northeast Bank Head Office in July 1946. It is the first financial institution of higher learning established in New China and the only undergraduate taxation university in the country. After several name changes, it was officially named Jilin University of Finance and Economics in 2010. It has now developed into an applied research university with economics and management as the main disciplines and coordinated development of law, liberal arts, science, engineering and other disciplines.

He is currently the Party Committee Secretary of Jilin University of Finance and Economics. He has been deeply involved in higher education management and party building work for a long time. He has rich experience in university governance and has always adhered to the original mission of “educating people for the party and educating talents for the country”. Preside over the overall work of the Party Committee, be in charge of the Party Committee Office, the School of Marxism, and liaise with the School of Finance.
2. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal: Ma Xiuying
Ma Xiuying was born in November 1972. She studied at Jilin University of Finance and Economics for both her undergraduate and master's degrees. She graduated with a doctorate in regional economics from the Northeast Asia Research Center of Jilin University. He has been teaching at Jilin University of Finance and Economics for a long time. He once served as deputy dean and dean of the School of Statistics. He was appointed vice president in December 2021 and was later promoted to president. He is the person in charge of the national first-class professional construction site (economic statistics major) and the person in charge of the national first-class online and offline mixed first-class course ("Statistics"). He has been selected as an expert with outstanding contributions in Jilin Province and a famous teaching teacher in Jilin Province.
