Three Crew Members Were Killed In An Attack On A Thai Cargo Ship, And Navigation In The Strait Of Hormuz Was Blocked.

According to CCTV news: Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sihasak said on the 8th that the three missing crew members on the Thai cargo ship that was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz last month have died.

Sihasak said at a press conference that day that the 20 rescued crew members had returned safely to Thailand. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently learned that the three missing crew members have died. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

Sihasak will visit Oman from the 15th to 16th of this month to discuss the issue of navigation of Thai cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz. He said that currently, nine Thai cargo ships, including fertilizer transport ships, are waiting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Thailand hopes that Oman can assist the above-mentioned ships in passing through the Strait during the two-week ceasefire.

On March 11, a Thai cargo ship was attacked while sailing in the Strait of Hormuz. 20 crew members were rescued and sent to Oman for resettlement. Three people were missing.

According to Xinhua News Agency, citing Iranian media reports on the 27th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued an announcement stating that it advised the return of three container ships that attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz that day.

The announcement stated that U.S. President Trump falsely claimed that "the Strait of Hormuz is open." On that day, three container ships of different nationalities tried to enter the designated licensed ship channel, but turned back after receiving a warning from the Revolutionary Guard Navy.

The announcement stated that the Strait of Hormuz is now closed to any ships "coming from or heading" to ports allied to the United States and Israel, and that any attempt to cross the Strait of Hormuz without authorization will face "severe measures."

According to CCTV news: Thai Prime Minister Anutin said on the 28th that in response to crises such as rising domestic oil prices in Thailand caused by the situation in the Middle East, Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently actively communicated with relevant countries. According to the current agreement with Iran, Thai oil tankers can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Anutin held a media meeting at the Prime Minister's Office that day to explain the government's measures to deal with oil price fluctuations. He said that the government will focus on promoting diplomatic coordination, energy security, commodity price control and people's livelihood protection in the next four aspects, and called on the public to jointly implement energy-saving measures to cope with it.

Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak said that Thailand has proposed convening a special meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers to discuss options to ease tensions. Thailand still has stable oil reserves, and the government is actively seeking additional energy sources through diplomatic channels.
