Jinhua Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1994 on the basis of Jinhua Institute of Technology. It has inherited the vocational education tradition of six national and provincial key technical secondary schools, including Zhejiang Agricultural Machinery School, Jinhua Trade and Economics School, Jinhua Normal School (including the original Yiwu Normal School), Jinhua Agricultural School, and Jinhua Health School.
