In order to improve the professional ability and employment competitiveness of our school students and break professional restrictions, we have specially opened a financial management CMA course, and selected outstanding students from the Oriental College of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics to join, cultivating top talents in international finance and accounting, and assisting future career development.
1. Introduction to CMA
Certified Management Accountant is a global high-end accounting certification in the field of management accounting launched by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the world's largest management accounting organization, in 1972. It is the most authoritative certification in the field of global management accounting and financial management, and currently has more than 70,000 members.
CMA certification is different from ordinary financial accounting certification. Its knowledge system setting reflects the requirements of today's business environment on the comprehensive financial management capabilities required by financial personnel. It focuses on some key issues encountered by accounting professionals in their work, including financial planning, financial analysis, cost control, risk management and decision support. CMA has long been regarded as the Mini-MBA in the field of accounting. In 2010, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission officially launched the training of CMA and included CMA into the national key evaluation system for senior financial management talents. CMA accredited employers are located in more than 180 countries and regions around the world, including many Fortune 500 companies and benchmark companies in the industry. Well-known domestic and foreign employers such as China Mobile, Alibaba, Bank of China, Unilever, HP, Procter & Gamble, and IBM have all opened priority recruitment qualifications to CMA holders.
2. Introduction to CMA courses
Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Oriental College officially cooperated with the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (IMA) and Shanghai Gaodun Finance in 2013 to launch a full-time CMA education program. CMA is a professional direction under the Financial Management major of Oriental College. The professional courses use the designated original English textbooks for the CMA exam, bilingual teaching, and experiential teaching at the forefront of international practice. For example, we conduct on-site management accounting-related mobile classes in listed companies, and cooperate with Gordon Finance to launch the "Career Rush" summer camp.
After CMA students pass various course examinations organized by the school, obtain corresponding credits and meet our school's graduation requirements, they obtain an undergraduate degree in financial management and a bachelor's degree in management from Oriental College of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. At the same time, students pass the exam after completing the course and obtain the American Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification certificate. The CMA global exam consists of two stages. Candidates are free to choose Chinese or English exams. CMA certification certificates are issued by the American IMA Association. Up to now, the passing rate of CMA students in the first phase of the global unified examination has reached 80%, the passing rate of all subjects is nearly 65%, and many people have obtained good results of more than 400 points.
