According to a report by World Wide Web citing Reuters on February 28, U.S. President Trump angrily denounced the top executives of the U.S. artificial intelligence company Anthropic as "extreme left-wing lunatics" and said he had made "catastrophic mistakes."

The incident stemmed from reports that the US military used Claude, a large AI model owned by Anthropic, in its military operations against Venezuela. After the news was exposed, Anthropic asked the Pentagon to verify whether the news was true and expressed concerns. The two parties had a dispute over the scope and conditions of use of the artificial intelligence model.
