On March 20, Cao Dewang, founder and lifelong honorary chairman of Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fuyao Glass"), gave a video speech at the 2026 Fujian Business Annual Ceremony, combining his half-life entrepreneurial and philanthropic practices to share his unique understanding of charity.

He said that giving back to society through the healthy development of enterprises is the most solid charity in itself, and this is what he understands as entrepreneurship. "The country will be strong because of you, society will progress because of you, and the people will be rich because of you."
According to the 2025 annual report released by Fuyao Glass, Fuyao Glass will achieve combined operating income of 45.787 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 16.65%; net profit attributable to the parent company is 9.312 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%.
Cao Dewang said with emotion that in the face of multiple challenges such as uncertainty in global trade, continued geopolitical turmoil, and sluggish growth in the automotive industry, Fuyao Glass has always maintained its determination to operate steadily, and its performance has reached a new level. "This makes me even more convinced that entrepreneurs have the greatest responsibility to the country and society when running a good business."
He said frankly that while entrepreneurs create value for society, they must also know how to be grateful, and gratitude and compassion are the foundation of charity.
In the video, he reviewed his involvement in philanthropy for more than 40 years, from the beginning of donating money to establishing the Heren Charitable Foundation and now to founding Fujian Fuyao University of Science and Technology. He has always attached great importance to donating to education, extending from kindergartens, primary schools, and middle schools to top universities in the country.
Cao Dewang pointed out that career is the foundation of a country and education is the foundation of a strong country. Without education, there is no future. "As an entrepreneur, I am willing to use my meager efforts to practice the belief of rejuvenating the country through education. Now establishing Fujian Fuyao University of Science and Technology is the last battle of my personal life. I want to educate and educate talents for society.
