The meeting summarized the progress and results of intellectual property protection in 2025, analyzed situational issues, and studied and deployed key tasks for 2026. The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 20th Plenary Session of the Party, follow the requirements of the Central Economic Work Conference, adhere to integrity and innovate, seek progress while maintaining stability, promote high-standard protection of intellectual property rights, and better support high-level innovation and high-quality economic and social development.
At the meeting, typical speeches were given by Fujian, Shanghai, Hebei, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Chongqing, Heilongjiang and other places. In recent years, the comprehensive level of intellectual property protection in Fujian has continued to improve, and it has been rated excellent or A-level in the national intellectual property protection inspection and assessment for three consecutive years. The Fujian Province Intellectual Property Protection and Promotion Regulations were formulated and promulgated, 7 national protection centers and rapid rights protection centers were established, and the authorization cycle of invention patents that passed pre-examination was shortened by 92.8% on average. The "Guidelines for the Administrative Adjudication of Patent Infringement Disputes" were issued, and four pilot projects for rapid resolution of intellectual property disputes were established to reduce the overall processing cycle of intellectual property disputes by more than 50%. We introduced 48 measures to strengthen the protection of foreign-related intellectual property rights, and initiated the establishment of the “Yiqiwei” Intellectual Property Protection Alliance with the widest cooperation scope in the country. The construction of five national geographical indication protection demonstration zones has been promoted with high standards, and the output value of the entire province's geographical indication industry chain has exceeded 400 billion yuan.
