Recently, the week-long Spatial Planning Practice in the Context of Common Prosperity·2022 Ningbo Land and Spatial Planning Forum concluded successfully. This event was jointly organized by Ningbo Urban Planning Society and Ningbo Planning and Design Institute. The forum was held in two forms: "online live broadcast + on-site activities". More than 300 experts and technicians of various types participated in the on-site activities, and about 1,000 people watched the online live broadcast. The forum specially invites relevant scholars and experts in the field of land and spatial planning as conference guests to discuss and share valuable experiences with the participants.
This event is divided into four forms: director forum, technical exchange seminar, theme academic salon, and expert lecture. Focusing on Ningbo's high-quality development and construction of a pioneer city for common prosperity, it discussed hot and difficult issues such as the planning of Cuipingshan Central Park, the comprehensive improvement of the entire land space, the development trend of cultivated land protection, rural revitalization, the application of big data in land space planning, the research on Ningbo urban waterlogging monitoring and early warning system, and the construction of Ningbo sponge city.
The annual Ningbo Land and Space Planning Forum is a grand gathering of the city’s planning industry and an important platform for exchanges among the planning community. It can not only showcase the style of our city's planning industry, but also promote the improvement of the business capabilities and the expansion of the vision of our city's planning technicians. The society should further play the role of Ningbo planning industry in building an academic exchange platform, listen to the needs and appeals of member units, and provide practical services to member units; carry out more high-quality and high-level academic exchange activities, and organize experts with practical experience to go to universities to give lectures; the Municipal Research Center and the Municipal Planning Institute have recently shared with member units their experiences in comprehensive land and space remediation, digital transformation, etc., to gather industry strength and promote industry development.
