With the continuous innovation of technology, audio-visual images such as micro-movies, micro-animations, and short videos have entered daily life, providing important help for people to study and work. While focusing on the construction of physical science popularization venues and mobile science popularization facilities, we should also work hard on the presentation of audio-visual images for science popularization. This is the trend of technological development and the current trend of science popularization work.
Rich and diverse audio-visual images can meet the needs of multi-dimensional audiences. From safe medication to health care, from life skills to emergency avoidance, popular science videos with expert explanations make people no longer confused; paper-cut animations, ink animations, ceramic animations, and innovative artistic presentations make scientific stories "alive"; emergency science short videos that highlight timeliness and humorous web shorts have received frequent likes… With the help of new media technology, scientific knowledge that used to be relatively "cold" is increasingly "flying into the homes of ordinary people."
The "Outline of the National Science Literacy Action Plan (2021-2035)" proposes to "vigorously develop new media scientific communication." In recent years, the rapid development of intelligent technology has brought many opportunities and challenges to science popularization work. Having the courage to face the changes brought about by technological progress, and proactively applying new technologies and methods to science popularization practice, making them both a means to promote science popularization innovation and a content of science popularization, will effectively promote the development of science popularization innovation.
To do a good job in science popularization work, on the one hand, we must stimulate scientific interest, and on the other hand, we must overcome outstanding problems such as single methods, lack of attraction, and product homogeneity. It is necessary to use the science popularization concept of "science and art integration" to organically integrate science, technology, and art into science popularization exhibits or science popularization activities, so that people can fully feel the artistic beauty of science and technology and the scientific and technological beauty of art. At the same time, we must give full play to the advantages of intelligent technology, innovate the content and methods of science popularization, apply independently developed robots, smart transportation systems, etc. to science popularization summer camps and other activities, and organically integrate learning, assessment, competition, display and other functions through an intelligent, interactive, and open science popularization education system.
