On October 16, the Second China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Summit Forum and the "2020 China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Report" press conference were held in Beijing. Beijing Normal University Internet Development Research Institute and Internet Judicial Governance Research Center released the "2020 China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Research Report".

The report shows that overall, the responsibility indexes of the 18 Internet industries vary greatly. The overall performance of e-commerce, medical health and online education industries is relatively good. The recruitment industry, automobile service industry and online gaming industry ranked low overall.

The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the event that compared with the first "China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Research Report" released in June last year, this year's report has added ten new relevant fields. The report focuses on 18 subdivisions including e-commerce, medical health, online education, network security, artificial intelligence, social platforms, videos, transportation, mobile intelligent terminals, intelligent search, knowledge payment, online music, Internet finance, tourism, real estate services, recruitment, automobile services, and online games, and screens 240 analysis objects, including "social value", "product/service responsibility", "entrepreneurial responsibility", "responsible management" and "corporate public welfare" Specific indicators were set up in the six dimensions of "negative impact" to evaluate the current status of their social responsibility development, with particular focus on the social responsibility performance of Internet companies during the epidemic.

According to the report, in terms of the "product/service responsibility" dimension, the intelligent search, video, and e-commerce industries perform better, while real estate services are relatively poor. In the "social value" dimension, the network security industry is significantly higher than other industries.

In the "responsibility management" dimension, the mobile intelligent terminal industry performed relatively well, and the performance of most industries needs to be improved urgently. Transportation and online gaming industries are poor.

In the "entrepreneurial responsibility dimension", e-commerce, recruitment and knowledge payment industries perform relatively well, while the transportation industry performs relatively poorly.

Compared with last year, the responsibility index of e-commerce, medical and health, social platforms, video, transportation and other industries has improved to a certain extent. However, judging from public opinion evaluation, Internet companies still need to improve in terms of strengthening industry self-discipline and compliance awareness.

For example, in the e-commerce industry, issues such as product quality and counterfeit goods have attracted the most public attention. In the medical and health industry, the issue of professional qualifications has become the biggest concern affecting the public's acceptance of Internet medical and health services. In the online education industry, problems such as excessive marketing, false propaganda, substandard teaching quality, and lost contact with customer service are still emerging. In addition, in the artificial intelligence industry, the violation of user privacy caused by improper use of data has also attracted much attention; in the social platform industry, the issue of user information leakage has become a topic of greatest concern.

The report recommends that Chinese Internet companies further strengthen their awareness of social responsibility, improve social responsibility management, better promote the unity of economic benefits and social benefits, and achieve healthy and orderly development of enterprises and industries.

Li Tao, director of the Internet Development Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, said that in the future, the institute will continue to conduct comprehensive and in-depth observation and analysis of the level of responsibility development in China's Internet industry, and regularly hold China Internet corporate social responsibility summit forums to continue to track the current situation, characteristics and problems of China's Internet corporate social responsibility, and provide useful reference for the healthy development of China's Internet companies and industries.

During the event, the Internet Humanities Center of Beijing Normal University was officially unveiled.
