The Continuing Education Department of Shanghai Overseas Chinese University was officially approved by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on August 23, 2004. It is an educational institution established for the purpose of providing adult non-academic continuing education. In order to meet the demand for foreign language talents after China's accession to the WTO and the hosting of the World Expo in 2010, the Ministry of Continuing Education of Overseas Chinese Language and Culture University has launched training in minor foreign languages to the society, including: French, German, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Arabic, Korean, etc. The teachers are all well-known teachers, textbook editors and subject leaders with rich teaching experience from Shanghai International Studies University and Overseas Chinese University. Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1993. It is a full-time general college that is included in the national unified enrollment plan, recruits students nationwide, and has the qualification to independently issue national academic diplomas. The college is invested and established by Shanghai Zhida Group and is located in Kangqiao Park, Pudong, Shanghai. With the accession to the WTO and the World Expo, the demand for qualification training for various types of practitioners is also growing, especially the shortage of logistics talents. In order to adapt to market demand, the Ministry of Continuing Education of our college has timely launched "Accounting Qualification Practitioners", "Customs Declarers" and other professional qualification certification training and tutoring classes; and cooperated with Shanghai Yuanchi Logistics Information Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly organize "National Inspection Declaration Qualification Certificate" training and exam tutoring classes. In response to the fact that candidates generally find it difficult to prepare for the "Art Design" content in the Art College Entrance Examination and the Unified Examination, the Ministry of Continuing Education of the College has specially launched an "Art Design" tutoring class and specially invited senior professors to teach.
At the same time, for applicants, high school graduates (including students from vocational high schools, technical secondary schools, etc.) and college graduates who have a certain foundation in foreign languages and are willing to continue their studies abroad, the college and the Shanghai International Education Exchange Information Center jointly recruit students and open joint training courses for foreign universities in Australia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Spain, Italy and other countries, paving a shortcut and safe channel for domestic students to enter foreign universities.
