This book is one of the "Textbooks for Engineering Management in Colleges and Universities in the 21st Century". The book is written in compliance with the laws and characteristics of the development of this discipline and on the basis of the content of each course in the Science Office. The book is divided into 14 chapters, with specific contents including investment and economic development, investment funds, investment environment, macro-control of investment, direct financing, overview of government investment, corporate investment methods, etc. This book can be used as a teaching material by major colleges and universities, and can also be used as a reference book by practitioners engaged in related majors.
During the writing process of this book, we always followed the general principle that undergraduate textbooks should clearly explain basic theories, basic knowledge and basic methods, and strive to achieve the following two points:
1. Build a new system of teaching materials. Compared with traditional textbooks, this book has some innovations in the system: first, modern economic growth theory shows that investment in human capital is more important than investment in physical capital for economic growth. Therefore, we include human capital investment in the textbook and explain it in detail. Second, on the basis of elucidating the general theory of investment economics, it highlights the two major investment entities, namely, the investment operation behavior, operation methods and characteristics of the government investment entity and the enterprise investment entity, and makes a comprehensive analysis and introduction. Third, the basic methods of financing are systematically introduced. Financing is included in the textbook "Investment Economics" because financing is a basic prerequisite for investment and an important part of the complete investment process.
2. Highlight theoretical features. In the process of writing this book, full attention has been paid to absorbing the latest results of domestic investment theory research in recent years; in relevant chapters, Western economic growth theory, new institutional economics theory, development economics theory, etc. are used; the various behaviors of investment operation under market economy conditions are focused on theoretical analysis and combined with empirical explanations.
