On April 18, 2024, the male nurse leadership training and teaching ability improvement class of the Male Nurses Working Committee of the Jiangxi Nursing Association was successfully held at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. All members of the Male Nurses Working Committee of the Jiangxi Nursing Association participated in this training event. This training activity, with the theme of "Inheriting the Red Gene and Gathering the Power of Angels", aims to improve the teaching ability of the male nurse working committee members and promote the overall development of the male nurse team. This training class lasted for three days and invited many well-known domestic experts to teach. The training content was rich, including teaching design, nursing rounds, teaching skills, teacher etiquette, PPT workshops and other aspects, and won unanimous praise from the students.

First of all, Li Gang, a professor at the School of Medicine at Nanchang University, made full use of his solid teaching experience and forward-looking teaching concepts, combined with the work characteristics of medicine, and explained how to conduct classroom teaching in the new era of information and digital era in simple and easy-to-understand terms.

Deng Jun, chairman of the Male Nurse Working Committee of the Chinese Nursing Association, gave a course on "Nursing Leadership Improvement from the Perspective of Change", which elaborated on leadership thinking, ability, and literacy from three aspects, bringing the atmosphere of the entire study class to a climax.

Liu Lin, director of the Nursing Department of Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital, taught the course "Being a Warm-hearted Nurse" with her affinity and appeal. She demonstrated the words and deeds of a "warm-hearted" nurse and won high praise from the students.

Tu Hui, director of the Nursing Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, gave a course titled "Teaching Skills and Self-cultivation of Teachers", which emphasized the importance of teachers' personal cultivation in teaching and triggered students' deep thinking on how to become a qualified teacher.

Li Xueqin, deputy director of the Nursing Teaching and Research Office of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, gave the "Clinical Teaching Topic Selection Ideas and Lesson Preparation Techniques" course, which gave everyone a more detailed understanding of the relevant knowledge of clinical lectures, teaching rounds and lesson preparation, and made the concept of "lifelong learning, lifelong lesson preparation" deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

Fang Liang, deputy director of the Nursing Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, gave a course on "MIS Principles of Teaching Skills". He described innovative teaching methods from three aspects: model thinking, interactive charm, and story masters, inspiring students to have a new understanding of teaching methods.

Zhang Zhiwei, the head nurse of the operating room of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, gave the course "Excellence in work comes from hard work and hard work in class – How to teach a class well". With his rich teaching experience and unique insights, he provided students with a vivid teaching practice class.

The "Basic Requirements and Techniques for Courseware Production" course by Zhu Jian, head nurse of the Interventional Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, helped students master the skills of courseware production with its practicality and operability, ranging from the selection of font size to the logical design.


This training also arranged a PPT teaching workshop session. Under the guidance of teachers such as Ye Jianhua, Qiu Shifa, Zhu Haoyuan, Zhou Jixin, Liu Jialiang, etc., the students practiced courseware and displayed outstanding works, further consolidating the knowledge they learned and improving their practical abilities.
During the training, the trainees showed extremely high enthusiasm for learning and professionalism. They all expressed that they had benefited a lot and were full of confidence in improving their leadership and teaching abilities. Through this training, members of the Male Nurse Working Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Nursing Association not only improved their personal abilities, but also strengthened team cohesion and made positive contributions to the development of nursing in Jiangxi Province.
