At the 2026 AWE exhibition, there was a long queue in front of the E7 exhibition hall, which was dominated by Chaosi Technology. The number of people in a single day exceeded 100,000, setting a record for the number of people in a single brand exhibition hall in the history of AWE.
On March 13, the surprise appearance of Olympic champion Xu Mengtao made the new product launch conference of Chumi sweepers the focus of the audience. The sports legend repeatedly praised Chumi after immersing himself in the cutting-edge technology, and formed a "double champion" highlight moment with Chumi sweepers, which won Euromonitor International's "No. 1 sales volume of high-end sweeping robots in the world".
Behind this popular exhibition, it reflects the new competitive landscape of the sweeper industry.
According to Meng Jia, President of the Sweeper Division of Chuimi Technology, the current sweeper industry has moved from a simple functional competition to a deep technical area. The refinement of user needs, the diversification of scenario expansion, and the reality of technology implementation have become core propositions for industry development.

Refined demands force technology upgrades
The sweeping machine industry has been developing in China for more than ten years. From the initial "sweeping is enough" to today's "sweeping, mopping, intelligence, and easy maintenance", the core needs of users have never changed, but the degree of refinement of the needs has continued to increase, becoming the core driving force for technological iteration in the industry.
In an interview with the media on the afternoon of March 13, Meng Jia said that after multiple generations of product evolution, the sweeper industry has solved most of the basic cleaning problems, and now what remains are the "hard bones" that are more difficult to tackle, which is the key to industry competition.
From flat mops to smart mops, to discs and roller mops, the upgrade of cleaning tools has always focused on "sweeping cleaner".
The 160°C high-temperature steam mopping technology launched by Zhumi this time is aimed at the pain points of stubborn stains, sterilization and odor removal that were difficult to deal with in the past. The design of 8-second fast heating and 4-way steam injection pushes the sophistication of household cleaning to a new level.

In Meng Jia's eyes, the nature of competition in the sweeper industry has never changed. No matter how diversified the market is, the ultimate competition is the ability to solve users' pain points. "For example, users have put forward their demand for climbing stairs many years ago, but it has never come true due to complex technology and difficult cost-benefit balance. However, we persist in developing and launching stair-climbing robots precisely because we have captured the real needs of users."
The current industry is also facing the dilemma of homogeneous competition, and price wars are even emerging in some price segments, which has caused many brands to fall into "involution."
In this regard, Meng Jia believes that price war is not the right path for industry development. Zhuimi sweepers have always insisted not to actively participate in price wars. Instead, they focus on product experience and functional configuration. Even in the mainstream price range, technology and experience are used to form differentiated advantages.
Especially in the high-end market, Chuimi sweepers build barriers through continuous technological innovation, making the product the core support of high-end brands.
From cleaning tools to home services
If demand refinement is the "internal strength training" of the sweeper industry, then scene expansion is the "external strength extension" of the industry.
At this AWE exhibition, the all-round home butler robot launched by Chuimi Sweeper became the focus of the audience. This embodied intelligent product with four-legged wheels and two-arm structure can not only complete floor cleaning, but also perform a variety of household services such as wiping tables, tidying the kitchen, picking up express delivery, and even doing laundry and folding clothes. It marks that the sweeper industry is evolving from a single floor cleaning tool to a full-scenario home service robot.

Meng Jia bluntly said that in the future, home service robots will become an important development trend in the industry. Users' demand for cleaning has already broken through the ground, extending to three-dimensional space cleaning, housework organization, and even companionship for the elderly and children, butler services and other fields.
However, in the process of scene expansion, the industry is also facing the practical dilemma of technology implementation.
The currently popular humanoid robots are difficult to enter homes quickly due to problems such as insufficient walking stability and high cost. The four-wheeled and dual-arm form chosen by Chusun is a technical judgment based on the actual needs of the home scene. The four-wheel design ensures mobility stability, and the dual-arm structure enables the execution of complex tasks. It has become the optimal solution for the rapid implementation of home service robots at this stage.
The expansion of scenarios is also inseparable from the support of underlying technology. Meng Jia said that Zhuimi's home service robot can integrate the underlying technologies of sweepers in intelligent navigation, obstacle avoidance, path planning, object grabbing, etc. At the same time, higher technical requirements are proposed for new scenarios, such as more accurate object recognition and smoother action execution, which requires a large amount of R&D resources to be invested in AI large model training to achieve deep integration of software and hardware.
