Recently, four Chinese victims were abducted by a human trafficking gang near the Moi River on the Myanmar–Thailand border and forced into a pickup truck to be transported to Myanmar. The four people jumped out of the car on the way and called for help. After hearing the noise, the surrounding residents came to help, and the four people were able to escape smoothly and were sent to the police station. The driver involved has abandoned the car and fled, and the Thai police are investigating.

According to Kantaporn, the head of Mae Sot County in Tak Province, Thailand, the incident occurred around 9:30 in the evening on March 9. The four people rescued were two men and two women, but the specific identities of the four people have not been made public.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Village No. 2, Thaserua Street, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. The village is located near the crossroads leading to Tapsa, about 500 meters from the Moi River on the Myanmar-Thailand border. Surveillance video at the intersection showed that around 9:30 pm on the 9th, a Chinese man sitting in the passenger seat of a white pickup truck suddenly opened the door and jumped out of the moving vehicle. After landing, he immediately rushed to the back door, trying to open it and rescue the other people in the back seat. But the driver suddenly accelerated at this time and seemed to want to prevent the man from rescuing.
The man then jumped into the car again and finally managed to open the door, allowing the other three people in the back seat to escape. After hearing the sound, nearby residents also went out to investigate. Seeing the situation, the driver abandoned the car and fled on the spot.
Then the local community leader led four people to Mae Sot Police Station to report the incident. The four people told the police that they were deceived into traveling to Thailand. The human trafficking organization originally planned to sell them to Myanmar, and the white pickup truck was used to transport them out of the country. After checking the entry and exit records, the police found that the four people entered the country from Chiang Mai, Thailand on the 6th and were then taken to Tak province.
The four people told the police that they were very worried that members of the human trafficking organization would chase them at any time and hoped that the police could help them leave Mae Sot as soon as possible. With the assistance of the police, they purchased long-distance bus tickets and headed to Bangkok on the 10th. The Chinese Embassy immediately took over and arranged for the four people to return to China. The Thai police are currently investigating related charges such as deception and human trafficking involved in this case.
