This filled an important gap in the study of the cultural sequence of Shang cultural archeology in southern Shanxi and established an important chronological reference.
The Shang Dynasty site in Nanfeng, Xiangyuan County, Changzhi City revealed the remains of pottery workshops, sacrificial pits and many cellars in the late Shang Dynasty, showing a cultural landscape that is intertwined with Yinxu culture, Jinzhong and local cultural factors, confirming that the Changzhi Basin was simultaneously influenced by the Yin Dynasty in the late Shang Dynasty. The influence of Xu culture and the late Shang relics on the Loess Plateau; the family tomb of Zhu Yinzhang, the general of the Ming Dynasty in Qinjiazhuang, Luzhou District, is the first fully preserved Ming clan family tomb found in Shanxi, and provides precious information for the study of the Ming Dynasty clan burial system.
