Shandong Provincial Commercial College was established in 1948
In 1949, East China Communications College (accounting class), Shandong Provincial Government Production Department Industrial School (accounting class), East China Industrial and Commercial Cadre School, Shandong Provincial (East China) Telecommunications School (accounting class), and Shandong Provincial Agricultural College (accounting class) were merged into Shandong Provincial Commercial College and renamed Shandong Provincial Accounting College.
In 1951, Shandong Provincial Accounting College was renamed Shandong Accounting College.
In 1952, Shandong Accounting College and the Department of Economics of Qilu University merged to form Shandong University of Finance and Economics.
