We punished telecommunications network fraud crimes in accordance with the law and prosecuted 69,000 people.
To severely crack down on cross-border electronic fraud crimes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate directed that 285 people be prosecuted and severely punished for suspected crimes such as fraud, intentional homicide, intentional injury, etc. in accordance with the law in response to the criminal groups of the Bai, Ming, Wei, and Liu families in northern Myanmar who provided armed protection for electronic fraud and harmed Chinese citizens. The judicial protection of citizens' personal information was strengthened, 6,142 people were prosecuted for related crimes, and 4,456 public interest litigation cases were handled. Lin and others illegally obtained citizens' personal information and set up online groups to carry out "unboxing". The Beijing Procuratorate launched a public prosecution in accordance with the law and resolutely maintained the order of cyberspace.
The report also mentioned that a former employee of a semiconductor company illegally provided the original company’s trade secrets to overseas institutions, and the Zhejiang Procuratorate launched a public prosecution in accordance with the law. Crimes involving data security infringements in artificial intelligence, e-commerce and other fields were punished in accordance with the law, and 4,739 people were prosecuted. Handled 3,658 intellectual property civil, administrative and public interest litigation cases, deepened special supervision of malicious intellectual property litigation, and promoted the creation of a good innovation environment.
