Nexperia (China)'s small batch of 12-inch wafer bipolar discrete devices is not simply a transplant of the original 8-inch product, but a comprehensive optimization and reconstruction of the chip structure, process integration and manufacturing process through independent research and development of the "12-inch platform".

Compared with the traditional 8-inch process, bipolar discrete devices using 12-inch wafers can produce nearly twice as many chips on a single wafer, significantly improving production efficiency and raw material utilization, and further reducing unit costs.

At the same time, the technical team of Nexperia (China) successfully achieved mass production of Schottky rectifiers on the "12-inch platform" by optimizing the original process parameters, and successfully passed the AEC-Q101 automotive grade standard certification for application in the automotive field. The device adopts a flat-pin surface mount design, which combines compact appearance with excellent electrical performance. It has low forward voltage drop, low reverse recovery charge, low recovery current and low leakage current characteristics. It is combined with advanced clip bonding technology to ensure high power handling capabilities and reliability. It is an ideal choice for applications such as high-efficiency DC-DC converters, LED lighting, switching mode power supplies, freewheeling circuits, reverse polarity protection and OR-ing.

In addition, new ESD protection devices based on 12-inch wafer testing have also been successful, providing optimized protection for transmission lines and effectively protecting against electrostatic discharge (ESD), surge current and short circuits.
