Summer vacation is coming quietly. Recently, universities in Hunan have successively announced their summer vacation arrangements. Students in many universities will start their summer vacation on July 3 and start vacation mode this week.
Hunan University
Holiday time: July 2 (Sunday) – August 26 (Saturday). The last two weeks of the summer semester begin on August 27th, and the fall semester begins on September 10th.
The faculty and staff will take turns from July 5 (Wednesday) to August 23 (Wednesday), and will officially return to work on August 24.
Hunan Normal University
1. Students are scheduled to start summer vacation on July 3, 2023. Old students are scheduled to register on September 2nd and 3rd for the next semester, and classes will officially begin on September 4th. The start time for the 2023 freshmen will be notified later.
2. All faculty and staff will be scheduled to take rotational leave starting from July 3. Full-time teachers must enter the results of the courses they teach this semester into the academic management system before they can take rotational leave.
3. The affiliated kindergarten has a holiday on July 2nd, and registration will be on September 1st, and admission will be on September 4th; the affiliated primary school will have a holiday on July 9th, and registration will be on September 2nd, and the school will officially start on September 4th; the affiliated middle school will have a holiday on July 9th, and registration will be on September 3rd, and school will officially start on September 4th. Affiliated schools at all levels shall make arrangements for the start of the summer and next semester in accordance with the requirements of the school and the local education bureau.

Xiangtan University
1. Old students will have summer vacation starting from July 3 (Monday). Register on September 9th and 10th (September 4th to September 10th is the preparation week, for reference for students who have retaken the exam and returned to school), and classes will officially begin on September 11th.
2. The registration time for 2023 freshmen is September 14th and 15th.
3. Full-time teachers are on vacation from July 6 to August 31, and report to work on September 1; other teachers and staff will take turns to take vacations from July 8, and return to work on August 28.
Changsha University of Science and Technology
1. Holiday time
1. Students: There will be a holiday from July 8 to September 1, 2023. Registration will start on September 2 and 3, and classes will officially begin on the 4th.
2. Faculty and staff: The summer vacation will begin on July 10, 2023, and they will report to work on August 28.
2. Relevant requirements
1. During the summer vacation, all units under the school must arrange for on-duty personnel to be on duty. In principle, no on-duty arrangements will be made across campuses. The duty hours are: 8:30-12:00 in the morning, 2:00-5:30 in the afternoon.
Hunan Agricultural University
1. The summer vacation is scheduled from July 3 to August 25, 2023, with a total of 53 days.
2. All middle-level cadres and management staff in the school will take turns from July 10 to August 20 according to work arrangements. The 2023 undergraduate freshmen will register on September 2, the 2023 graduate graduate freshmen will register on September 9, and other students will register on August 26 and August 27, and classes will officially begin on August 28. Middle-level cadres must report to the Organization Department on August 18. 2. Faculty and staff: Holiday from July 5, 2023 (Wednesday) to August 31, 2023 (Thursday). Report to work on September 1st (Friday). Among them, cadres at division level and above are tentatively scheduled to have a holiday on July 15 (Saturday). Relevant units must make arrangements for the retake exams in advance (the specific arrangements for the retake exams in the next semester have been sent to each unit in a separate document).
4. The holiday dates of the logistics department shall be arranged according to the school holiday schedule and the actual situation of the department, and shall be reported to the school leader in charge for approval.
Hunan Technology and Business University
The student vacation period is from July 2 to September 1.
Undergraduate students of the 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes (including junior college-to-undergraduate students) and postgraduate students of the 2021 and 2022 classes will report and register on September 2 (Saturday), and classes will begin on September 4 (Monday).
Freshmen of the class of 2023 will register on September 8th (Friday), and classes will begin on September 11th (Monday).
