Jinhua Vocational and Technical College was established on the basis of the private Jinhua Institute of Technology founded in 1994. It was established in 1998 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and became public in 2003. The school has inherited the vocational education tradition of six national and provincial key technical secondary schools, including Jinhua Normal School, Jinhua Health School, Jinhua Agricultural School, Yiwu Normal School, Jinhua Trade and Economics School, and Zhejiang Agricultural Machinery School, and has a history of more than 100 years. The school was the first in the province to pass the excellent evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges.
